1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started in music production and DJing?
Sure! I started out with DJ’ing when I was about 14 years old. Dance music always had my attention when I was a kid and when I saw Tiesto play at stadiums I thought that was really cool and that was also something what I also wanted to do! Shortly after that I also started producing my own music using FL studio back then, fun times!
2. What genre(s) of music do you produce and play?
I mainly play Deep House, Future House and also sometimes Tech House and Progressive House
3. Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
A lot of artists actually but to name a few I would say mostly Kream, Oliver Heldens and Don Diablo
4. How do you typically approach the process of creating a new track?
It depends on the kind of idea that I have in mind but I mostly like to start off by writing chords and then finding good melody’s and vocals that fit with it
5. Do you have any specific goals or aspirations for your music career?
Sure! Right now my main goal is to release as much music as possible. I would also love to perform more on stage in the future, even across the world if possible!
6. What do you think sets you apart from other music producers and DJs?
I think I do have an energetic style and sound design that my listeners will definitely recognize with every track. I like to keep my tracks energetic and playful!
7. Can you tell us about any upcoming releases or projects that you’re working on?
For sure! I have an upcoming new collaboration with my good friend Kairozmusic who I have done multiple collabs with in the past. Next to that I also have new music coming up with Dion Daze, a new remix of one of my tracks and a big project that I will announce later! J
8. How do you stay motivated and creative when working on music?
Good question haha, I try to discipline myself to put in as much effort as possible, but also at the same time to understand that in a creative process good idea’s come and go. As long as you love what you are doing you will always keep going, no matter what! It also helps to take breaks regularly, even when you are in a good workflow since it resets you ears and helps you to think from different perspectives about your current projects.
9. How important do you think social media and online presence are for emerging music producers and DJs?
Social media and online presence is definitely more important than ever nowadays. There is so much content these days, you need to keep up to stay on the radar of your fans and followers.
10. What advice do you have for aspiring music producers and DJs?
Focus mainly on improving your tracks to get them to the highest level possible. The better your music, the easier it will become to promote it since it will spread the easiest that way. Make sure to also watch lots of tutorials and try to find out where you can improve yourself. Don’t be afraid to critique yourself and also let people give feedback on your tracks. Ask them to be critical, that really helps you to get the biggest learning curve.
Next to that make sure to release as much of your music as possible. Send it to labels first and if your track doesn’t get picked up just release it yourself. This way you can build up your musical discography, you never know if a track works or not till you release it!
11. Can you tell us a bit about how the collaboration with Roberto Marín Muñoz came about, and what it was like working with him on this new song?
Yes! Roberto and I have been following and supporting each other’s music for a while now and when he asked me to remix one of his tracks I instantly knew that would be a dope idea! I liked his track “Time Warp” and had instant idea’s to give it my own twist when I heared it, it went very fast from there!
12. This new song collaboration with Roberto Marín Muñoz has been receiving a lot of attention on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. What do you think it is about this particular track that has resonated so well with listeners, and how does it feel to see it gaining such popularity?
I think the style of the remix which is Deep House with Progressive influenced sounds is really popular nowdays. Also the vocals have a good message behind them, all together making the track a great listen at music events but also for instance during workouts or night drives.
